Course description

Course Overview

This course is designed for beginners who want to learn how to use SOLIDWORKS Simulation for virtual testing and analyzing their designs. Participants will learn the basics of finite element analysis (FEA) using SOLIDWORKS Simulation, including setting up simulation studies, applying loads and restraints, and interpreting results.

Key Learning Objectives

  • Understand the fundamentals of finite element analysis
  • Learn how to set up simulation studies in SOLIDWORKS Simulation
  • Apply loads and restraints to simulate real-world conditions
  • Analyze and interpret simulation results

Requirements

Participants are required to have access to a computer with SOLIDWORKS Simulation installed. Basic knowledge of SOLIDWORKS CAD software is recommended but not required.

Outcomes

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:
  • Confidently set up and conduct basic simulation studies using SOLIDWORKS Simulation
  • Interpret simulation results to assess the performance of their designs
  • Apply virtual testing to improve the quality and reliability of their designs

Certification

Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate of completion to demonstrate their proficiency in using SOLIDWORKS Simulation for virtual testing and analysis.
