AP U.S. Government and Politics

AP U.S. Government and Politics is an in-depth course that explores the foundations, principles, and functioning of the American political system. Students will study the Constitution, political beliefs and behaviors, political parties, interest groups, and the roles of the three branches of government. Through the analysis of primary sources, case studies, and current events, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the factors influencing policy-making and governance in the U.S. This course prepares students for the AP U.S. Government and Politics exam and offers potential college credit for successful performance.
